So that's what we're gonna talk about. It's such an order to have Dr. Nora, St. John with us, the author of the Seven Figure Expert. He's also known as the father of. A Formations and the mental health coach to the stars. He's an author of 22 books, including his new book, the Seven Figure Expert. Well, I'm great Justin. Great to be back. Perfect.
Perfect. Well, Dr. Nor, let's jump right into it. Yeah. What inspired you to write a book about building a seven figure expert business? Well, this is something that I've been teaching and doing since 1997, so over 25 years now. Can you believe it? So I've been online. Um, basically since dinosaurs roamed the earth, um, I started, remember, remember being online back in the nineties.
I know you're very young, Justin, but if you can remember back then, remember the, you know, the, the modem and stuff that, right. Remember, and like, you couldn't have video or anything like we have today. And of course there's no social media, there's no YouTube or anything like all the amazing tools and [00:02:00] AI things that we have today.
But, um, I started my company success clinic.com in a 300 square foot basement apartment with $800 in a book on H T M L. So I literally started with nothing. I had no money, no marketing, no sales experience. Uh, I had no contacts. I had no list. I mean, there was no such thing as, uh, funnels. The only funnels back then were funnel cake.
So, I mean, it was a totally different world, and so I've helped my clients over the last 25 years to add six, seven, and even eight figures to their business while actually winning their lives back. So my clients and uh, my customers have been begging me. To really release a book about how I did it and how I helped people do it.

You know, you're talking a moment ago about mindset and mental health. Well, what's ironic about that is I've been teaching people and coaching my clients, whether one-on-one or group coaching, uh, or even in my keynote speeches, you know, cause I get to do keynote speeches all around the country and around the world.
Um, but in my coaching and in my speeches, I've been teaching mental health for over 25 years. But what's ironic about that? Is five years ago you couldn't say mental health. I don't, people don't remember this, or they don't realize, but prior to the pandemic, if you said mental health, they'd cart you away.
It'd be like, ah, mental health. You know, they'd like, no, you can't talk about it. I mean, it's a, it was a taboo subject. Well, what's so funny? And, which is wonderful for me, uh, is that, and, and you know, frankly it's wonderful for everybody is now a bunch of celebrities started [00:05:00] talking about mental health. So now the celebrities made it okay for everyone to talk about.
And I'm like, Hey, thanks for coming to the party. I've been here 25 years by the time you guys showed up. You know, so, but that's what is different about, uh, this book, the Seven Figure Expert. It really is, uh, a hybrid. Of mental health combined with marketing and money making. All right? So all of those M'S together, you know, mindset and mental health along with marketing and money making.
And so that's what I've been teaching my clients for over 25 years now, whether in one-on-one or group coaching programs that we have. For example, we have a coaching program called the 12 Week Breakthrough. Where as I, me, as you mentioned earlier, you know, I help my clients, I help people make more in just 12 weeks.
Than they made in the previous 12 months while winning their lives back. And that's a very important statement that I just made. This is not about hustle and grind. It's not about what all those gurus are teaching, which is you have to work 14, 16, 18 hours a day, or you're a loser. If you're [00:06:00] not working all the time, then you know, what are you doing?
And I'm like, are you nuts? You know, I want to have a life. And that's the people who I coach. You know, they, they want to, of course you want to make more money and you wanna be successful in business. No kidding. But what is the point of that if you don't have a life? So that's why, you know, what I teach is not only becoming a seven figure expert, but it's also living what I call the seven figure life.
Absolutely. Well, you're, like you said, you're, you're famous for the 12 weeks, uh, making more in 12 weeks than in 12 months. Uh, but also in your books and coaching programs, you talk about the unconscious habits of highly successful people. What do you mean by that? So, what I discovered many years ago is that highly successful people, you know, the, the one percenters that, you know, we all study and look up to, they are doing these certain habits, but they're doing them unconsciously, which means two things.
Number one, they don't know they're doing them. And therefore number [00:07:00] two, that means they can't teach you all right? So for example, there's lots of books and you know, gurus out there talking about habits and that's great. Um, so for example, you know, like, um, you know, if we've probably many people have heard of or read the book, think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, right?
That was written over about a hundred years ago. And he interviewed all these successful people and said, so how'd you get all that money? You know, how'd y'all become successful? And they say, well, you do this, this, this, and this. Okay, so how come, you know, millions of people have read that book and not everyone is successful?
Well, it's because of everything that he left out. So many people say about my coaching that my work starts where Napoleon Hills left off, all right? Meaning that they were talking about conscious habits. That means like, you know, you interview these successful people and they say, well, you know, so how'd you become successful?
Well, I did blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Okay, but what's amazing is that success, what I discovered many years ago is that success is like an iceberg. All right? It's only about 5% [00:08:00] that's visible above the surface. That's the conscious habits that these people know that they're doing. That's the conscious habit, meaning, you know, we gotta wake up earlier.
We know whatever they tell us. But what's fascinating is it's the vast 95% that's in the unconscious. It's like the bottom part of the iceberg that you can't see. And one of the things that I tell my coaching clients, and also in my keynote speeches I als, I always like to say that it wasn't the part of the iceberg that they could see that sunk the Titanic.
It was the part that they didn't see that sunk the Titanic, and that's the part that sinking you and me. Meaning that if you don't know these unconscious habits, which is what I've been teaching, which is one of the reasons why we help our clients get what I like to call hockey stick growth, meaning, you know, like you're going along like this, everything's, you know, you're doing all right, but it's not really growing that fast.
And then you put these habits in place. You put these systems, and then you get what you just, it's like you just go through the roof. I'll give you a quick example of [00:09:00] that. I was talking with one of my clients. And I said to him, how much do you think it's gonna cost you in the next 12 months if we don't put these systems in place?
You know, these inner game and outer game systems that that I teach? And he said, without batting an eye a million dollars, it's gonna cost me a million dollars if we don't put this in place this year, Noah. I said, okay. First of all, I hear that a lot. I mean, people tell me all the time that. If we don't put these in place, they're gonna lose 10,000, 50,000, a hundred thousand dollars a month.
Now that's six to seven figures a year. I mean, so people are really losing out on a lot of money, but also a lot of opportunity without having, if you don't have these systems in place. So that's point number one. And then, so point number two, I said, Pay. All you need to do is just give me 10% of that million dollars.
Give me 10% of that million, and I will find you a million dollars in the next 12 months. Now, he had read my books. Th this client, his name's Charles, and he had read my books and he was, you know, familiar with my work and he had heard just some of the amazing stories, uh, you know, real life people stories that I've helped.
And he [00:10:00] said, all right, let's do it. So he paid me a hundred thousand dollars to coach him one-on-one. That's 10% of a million dollars, right? So he paid me a hundred K. Well, I didn't, so I coached him one-on-one for 12 months, and in that 12 months, I didn't find him $1 million. I found him 1.8 million in just 10 months.
So talk about hockey stick growth, right? Because he was going along like this and then walked through the roof and then what was even more amazing and you know, great for him, he sent me an email and said, Hey Noah, guess what? I'm on a seven week vacation. My wife and I bought a new rv, thanks to all of this money we're making and we're, we took a seven week vacation.
We're driving around the southwest. And we're just having a great time. So he said, not only am I making more money than ever, I have more time than I've ever had before. So that's what we like to call being a seven figure expert, living that seven figure life. That's amazing. I, uh, I love it. You know what I think of too is, uh, I'm a partner with Russell Brunson and doing some fun stuff with Napoleon Hill and, and, uh, foundation, all those kinds of things.
One of the things that he wrote in his book, which is, [00:11:00] you know, uh, called Expert Secrets, is that he saw a lot of people were having issues. Um, uh, they're with identification or you know, with who, their identity of, well, I'm not an expert, so maybe I, I don't even deserve to read a book. It won't apply to me.
How does, how would you approach that with people with your book as far as if maybe they're not quite an expert or they don't have the identity of an expert yet? How would your book, how help them? There are a lot of gurus out there that really teach something that I definitely disagree with, and that is, fake it till you make it.
They're teaching. Fake it till you make it. Meaning just make it up. And then, you know, somehow it'll all magically work out. I'm like, what planet are you on, buddy? I mean, are you serious? And that, number one, that is very disingenuous. And number two, I think it's very dangerous because there's a lot of fake gurus out there that are great at drawing attention to themselves.
But once [00:12:00] you pay them the money, you realize there's no, they're there. Like they don't have any, there's no substance. It's just a bunch of flash with nothing there now. So what I teach and what I coach, you know, with my, whether it's one-on-one or group coaching programs, I teach that someone, the best way to be positioned as an expert is to be one.
You have to actually do this. Now what's interesting though is the other part that I teach that those gurus totally ignore. Is the, the phenomenon that I call head trash. Now, head trash is the voice in your head that says, I can't do it because. All right, so you know, you mentioned, I've written 22 books.
I've basically written 22 books about this one subject, which is how to Take Out Your Head Trash, meaning there's many millions of people, entrepreneurs, experts, coaches, authors, speakers, course creators, who are walking around right now with the [00:13:00] head trash that says, I can't do it because. All right. I'll give you a, an example from one of our clients.
Um, her name's Taissa and she, uh, joined my 12 week breakthrough program that I was talking about a moment ago. And you know, cuz she again read my books and heard great things about me, watched my videos on YouTube and things like that. So she was like, okay, Noah. You know, I believe you, I believe that you can get me these results.
But she was skeptical. Um, and in fact she, she was a self-proclaimed seminar junkie. That was her term because she was running around these, all these gurus and, you know, spending all this money. But, you know, she was, Pretty much hitting that income ceiling, as I call it, just kind of going along, you know, not like broke or something, but she was, you know, not hitting where she wanted to be.
Well, she joined my 12 week breakthrough program and in the first two weeks, just two weeks of coaching with me, she tripled her investment. You can watch her video along with many, many others on our website, but the point is she tripled her investment in two weeks. We hadn't even gotten to the money part yet.
So [00:14:00] that was primarily a result of doing what I'm talking about right now, identifying her head trash, and then using my SY system to systematically take out her head trash. And what's even more fascinating about that is she decided to really, you know, uh, she, her confidence was so good, you know, she became so much more believing in herself.
She decided to enter her first bikini contest. Now she's a really vivacious, you know, great personality and everything like that, but she'd never done anything like that. Well, guess what? She came in third place in her first bikini contest and she's 68 years old now. She looks amazing for 68. But my point is that, how about that?
How's that for taking out your head trash? So not only, again, not, it's not just about money, it's about having the confidence and belief in yourself that we really all need to get that hockey stick growth. Absolutely. Well, that's just amazing. Wow. I I can't wait to read more about that. You know, here's another question that I, I'm dying to hear your [00:15:00] answer cause I know this is one that I struggle with.
Uh, I think, uh, so many of us, especially entrepreneurs or entrepreneurial type is, you know, how does your program help people prioritize their time and focus on the activities that will generate. The most income. Yeah, I mean, that is one of the biggest things that I work with my co coaching clients on, whether it's one-on-one or group coaching.
This comes up so often, and the reason is very simple, and that is because we don't live in the information age. There are some people that mistakenly say, well, no, you know, we're, we're living in the information age. I'm like, no, we don't. We live in the information overload age. We pass the information age 20 miles back.
Okay. That's why most people, entrepreneurs that you talk to are on overload, right? Because let's face it at, at our fingertips every second is right here. On our smartphones, we have infinite distractions, right? So we live in a world of infinite distractions. Now, what's interesting about that is [00:16:00] that these companies, you know, these social media companies, they want to keep you addicted.
All right. They wanna keep you and me and everybody addicted to these platforms for one simple reason. So they make more money, right? I mean, that's how they make money is they show advertising to you and me and everybody else, and that's how they make their billions and trillions of dollars. Okay? So the point is that they have people on these.
Or in these companies that their entire job is to addict us, like literally keep us addicted to the platform. Why do you think that? You know, if you're looking at a pair of jeans and then all of a sudden, you know, jeans are following you all around the internet, it's like, wait a minute, where, where'd that come from?
Well, that's what these companies do. That's their job. All right? So that's one of the things that we work on, you know, very, very diligently, you know, in our group coaching and one-on-one coaching programs is this whole idea of. Focus and eliminating distractions. Uh, so I'll give you an example. So I was working with one, [00:17:00] uh, one of my one-on-one clients, uh, named Adam.
And he was, his company was, you know, doing well, but again, he kept hitting that income ceiling and he'd spent all this money on all these, you know, marketing goos and all these programs. And he was just still, you know, just going along pretty much. At the same level for, you know, the previous four years.
Well, you know, I coached him one-on-one and one of the things that we worked on very strenuous, very diligently, diligently, was this topic of focus. And I helped him to understand, you know, all of these things that were taking his focus away from not only what he wanted to do, but his zone of genius. Well, anyway, we were able to put all these systems in place for him and in one year he.
His company's revenues increased by 600%. That's a six times talk about a hockey stick, 600% increase. And what's fascinating about that is we rarely, if ever even really talked about, you know, the marketing stuff and all the goos, what you know they're talking about. Not that there's anything wrong with marketing.
We all need to do [00:18:00] marketing and promotion and things like that, but, That is not enough. All right. And what we've seen over, you know, what we've seen with our clients over the last 20 plus years is that that hockey stick growth usually doesn't come from what the gurus are talking about. It comes from mastering your inner game and your outer game.
And one of those areas is really learning how to master your focus. Absolutely. So I know we only got a few minutes left, but maybe let's dive in a little bit more on this topic of what are some of those top one or two pieces of advice or things to focus on. That really moves the needle like that. I mean, what are some of those common things that you see from your, uh, you know, your students, that when you make a couple of these little tweaks on focus, Uh, you know, maybe share a little with, with the audience of what they're gonna get.

But even if you're, you know, on YouTube and you're studying marketing stuff, you know what I mean, you, that is a rabbit hole that you can just go down forever. Meanwhile, you're not focusing on what you need to be doing. And so when you understand and when you apply my seven figure expert [00:20:00] formula, that's when you can really get that hockey stick growth.
So working you, you can really, and also what it does is it allows you to say, okay, where do I need to focus today? Is it my beliefs or habits? Is it my offers, funnels, or traffic? Or is it a combination of look for, for most of the clients and people that we work with, most of the experts out there. It's, of course you have to do all of 'em, you know, and, and they're like, oh my gosh.
You know, no one has ever broken it down for me. This is what I hear from, you know, our clients a lot is Noah, you know, no one ever broke this down for me and made it so easy, uh, to apply one, one of our clients, Brian, I mean, he made $95,000 in 12 days. 12 days. They didn't take him 12 weeks. So he basically made, you know, six figures in less than two weeks as a result of applying my formula.
Okay, so, hello. And by the way, this is so great because you also, I show you how to, if you want to give back, which most entrepreneurs do, they want to give back to their community, their church, you know, causes [00:21:00] that are important to them. Well, Brian, not only did he, you know, basically make six figures and under.
