Let's get started. Welcome back to the Roots to Riches podcast. I'm your host Justin Benton. We're here to talk about all things boosting health and boosting wealth. Today we're going to focus on boosting wealth. So for those of you that know me, have known me for a long time, I have always been what they say is maybe a natural born salesman, which I think all of us are natural born salespeople, right? You could probably, you did the same thing I did when you were five years old and your mom or dad was checking out at the grocery store and they put all those candies and candy bars right there at the checkout and you try to convince your mom to get you a Snickers. I'm a Snickers fan. Or Tic Tacs or whatever it is that's there. And you just try every way possible to convince your mom, whether it's whining. I don't think I was a big whiner, but I've certainly seen my kids try that on me. You know, we are trying to get what we want, even when we start out as little children. And my first job was, I just did, my old man and I picked out this, I call it, you know, it's the old bitch and Camaro, right? It's the, It was a metallic blue 1984 Camaro. I think we got it for like $3,500. And I had to get a job to pay for everything that comes with getting a car, including insurance and gas and all that. And my first job was at a company called Eidelman Telemarketing. And I was selling Sprint It was Sprint back then as well. And they were actually selling long distance. So this was before cell phones, really. which is crazy to think that Sprint was a long distance phone company. And so I lived in Omaha, Nebraska, and we were like the direct marketing capital of the world. So Dan Kennedy would have loved us. And especially for making telephone calls, because we were centrally located, so we could call two hours to the left or two hours to the right on the time zone, east coast, west coast. And people in the Midwest don't really have an accent, so it's easier to understand what they say more clearly, you know, whereas sometimes, you know, people may be with a deep southern drawl, but there, I mean, there's a little bit of an accent, you know, Minnesota, you know, a little bit of that Canadian, eh? But anyways, so I immediately took to the job And I did very, very well there. In fact, they had a bunch of executives listening in on my phone calls. And we paid for all the, you know, changing fees and all this kinds of good stuff. And I got really, really, really good at it. And then eventually I took another job, which we sold long distance telemarketing. Remember, long distance phone usage depended on how far the call was. And so there were some cool offers that we made and, and I would get like spiffs and, and all these kinds of things for every, every person I signed up, we would have like a big whiteboard where you wrote down, you know, every sale that you got. And, and I was closing so many things as like a 16, 17 year old kid that they had to restructure the commission structures. And you know, there's these seasoned pros that have been there for, you know, 30, 40 years, uh, doing their job and here comes this kid, high school kid, just like blowing everybody away. So I guess I was maybe born with the gift of gab. However, I also perfected my skills and perfection as they say, you know, it's 10,000 hours or 10 years and personal development and understanding how best to, how best to, help people, really that's what you're doing is help people understand what their problem is, where you are and how your solution can help them. And so if it was saving money on your phone bill, well, Hey, you know, that's, that's a great place to be. Who wouldn't want to save a few bucks even on our phone bills, you know, these days. So right now we are, um, talking about, um, boosting our wealth. And so that's a little bit of a history lessons of where my, you know, sales came from. And so I launched a company, you know, years back that, um, I'm having a lot of success with and I wanted to explain it a little bit and maybe there's something I can do for you, uh, to help. And so, you know, when this whole world shifted back in COVID and we were, you know, going from You know, face to face and jumping on planes and handshakes and belly to belly is what they call it, sales. Everything shifted, right, in 2020. And so I was exposed to this whole new world. of virtual, online, and just completely, I just didn't know this world existed. You know, I thought Facebook and Instagram were for, you know, seeing high school friends you haven't seen in 20 years, their kids, and Instagram was for people taking pictures of their dinner. Like, I just had no interest Uh, no real, uh, you know, I'm, I'm big on ROI. It's, it's, you know, return on investment, whether it's time, energy or money. I just, it seemed, it seemed like a waste of time, but when COVID hit everything changed and there's all these people out there that were, you know, selling coaching programs and masterminds and they had unlocked the secrets to, uh, making money online really, you know, in this new age that we find ourselves. And so I aligned with all the great people and, and, you know, I love, you know, Joe Soto and, um, and Jeffrey Gittermer were the first two that, uh, that introduced me to the world. And I joined their mastermind, which, you know, then led me to Russell Brunson and joining his mastermind and eventually becoming a partner with him with secrets of success. And this whole world opened up. And so I was like enamored with it. And I was like, this is incredible. Like you can join masterminds. And basically you're like getting a business partner without having to give up equity. You know, you're just friends. It's like a social club, but it's about business and helping each other. And you can pay just like a country club would be to be in the club, to understand what are the insights for scaling a business or launching a business. And it's been such a fun ride. It's literally been five years, almost to the day. that this journey began. And so when I noticed this world opening up, I knew the first thing that, as soon as I found out that people, at first I thought everyone was selling everything online, even 10,000 and 25,000 and higher packages, I thought everything was done online. Because that's, you do a presentation or a webinar or a challenge and they sign up. Because that's kind of what I saw in the beginning. You know, but the more that I understood the world, I saw that a lot of those people, most people, a lot of people, were having the presentation, webinar challenge, whatever you want to call it, and some people would sign up. Let's say 100 people went to the webinar. Let's say 10 people signed up, you know, to join a mastermind or to join a coaching offer, a high ticket coaching offer, like, you know, 10,000 and higher. But then they were also driving them to a phone call if they had questions, or scheduling a strategy call, or even following up with them. And as soon as I found out, that they were making at least half of their sales over the phone, talking with people and helping answering their questions and maybe overcoming some self-limiting beliefs they have, you know, about in themselves or just, you know, help just talking it through with them one-to-one. I was like, oh my gosh, my superpower that I've been doing for over 30 years, which is communication and having a great conversation on the telephone is so valuable. And so I immediately launched a company called Convert High Ticket. And we did a really cool challenge with Richmond Din and Damon Burton and a bunch of awesome guys and gals that I had met in Russell's Inner Circle and met in the digital marketing world. And now it's coming full circle, and I'm helping a lot of those people, many, many names that you know, with their converting their high ticket. So they'll do their pitch, right, or their presentation, and then my team will come in, and obviously with AI and outreach and technology, we'll use the latest in technology that I've personally curated and proprietary to do outreach to whether it's email or text or even phone calls with AI, like having a conversation with AI. It's so incredible how far it's come. And then, you know, warming them up is what it is and answering questions. And as soon as they, if they want to talk to a human, then we have those people ready to go 24 seven for them to have a conversation with a real live person to get their questions answered, to see if they're a fit for the program. And so it's just been so much fun. And I just got an email. I'm going to read it to you today. I was helping out Eileen Wilder, and she has an awesome challenge. And so I was helping her out with doing exactly what I'm talking about. And I was following up with her today to see how it was going. And she said, thanks, Justin. You have no idea how much you have moved me. She's, you know, had incredible social media proof and testimonials because she's done it. This is what she's done when she hosted her reality TV show, making these incredible health transformations for people. And so that's what I'm doing. That's what I know that I can help the most people out with. And what are high ticket offers? High ticket offers are things basically $10,000 or more. Kind of like that's the kind of the number. And why high ticket offers? Well, here's the thing. People who pay, pay attention, right? But people who pay a lot, pay a lot of attention. I got that one from my buddy Myron Golden, my golfing buddy. And so it's so true when you are helping people with a high ticket offer. What do they want? They want speed. How fast can I implement the thing that you're teaching, right? Because you can go out to YouTube and, you know, follow a hundred different gurus, but how do you get the thing that you know is going to change your life or business? Someone who's done it over and over again, not only for themselves, but have helped other people do it over and over and over again. And there's two ways you can do it, right? I mean, you can try the freeway, which is, you know, piecemeal this and that from YouTube and this podcast, and try and do it on your own without any help. Or you could be in a room in a community with other like-minded and like-valued people that have already done it. and they can help you with the, whether it's a self-limiting belief, whether it's a tactic, a business tactic, whether it's a sales approach, whether it's a marketing approach, you can bring your questions to the community and to the mentors and get them to give you the guidance that's worked for them or worked for others. And that's the power of a high ticket offer, is that you're getting the speed of the implementation of the thing that you want for your life or for your business. And it has the most transformational power of anything that's out there. Because you're getting immediate, you're basically like our friend Tony Robbins likes to say, you are compressing decades into days. You're spending a few days together, whether it's in person or virtually, and you're getting the immediate insights and answers to what has worked for other people for the same problem you're trying to overcome. And that's why high ticket offers are so powerful. And that's why you've seen the fastest results. And, you know, it's just the coolest thing ever. And like I said, I didn't know this thing existed. So this might be the first time you're ever hearing about it or you have heard about it.
